As I looked into my grandparent’s puppy’s little black eyes, I thought about what brings her joy. You can throw her a extremely annoying squeaker toy, and she will have the time of her life chewing and squeaking that toy. You can pick her up and she will give you thousands of face kisses. So many things bring her joy, and people have to go out of their way to bring us joy, like throwing a party or buying a present. Puppies will basically enjoy everything you do with them. We should be more like dogs and let little things bring us joy too, whether a relative calls you who you haven’t seen in a while or just a plain old hug. I want to be more like Sophie and let little things make me happy.
